2011 Diamantina Sale

Lot 89 - Eversleigh Herd Bull P57 - $16000

with vendors and purchasers Debbie & Ken Rutherford Redskin Stud

Eversleigh Droughtmasters presented 14 registered and herd bulls aged 22 - 32 months as well as 307 commercial females at the 8th Annual Diamantina Droughtmaster Bull & Female Sale held in Winton on Friday 20 May.  The draft included progeny from Alma Gareth 04/1390 as well as the first sons to be offered for sale by Clonlara 06/101, Hamadra Smokey and Minlacowie Kaddatz (photos of sires available on Sires page).  All bulls had been ear-notch tested and were certified pestivirus free.

Congratulations to Ken and Debbie Rutherford of Redskin Stud Morinish who purchased Lot 89 for $16000.

The 307 females were made up of No 0 PTIC and chance-mated heifers.  The top price heifers were a pen of red tag PTIC No 0 females who sold for $1160/hd to Andrew and Kate Jaeschke of "Glen Rufus Park" South Australia.  The top price replacement females were bought by Robert and Judy Anderson Nosredna Past Co "Eddington" Julia Creek for $810/hd.

Commercial Females

 

This year we presented a total of 307 commercial females.  The draft was made up of 133 PTIC and 174 chance-mated No 0 heifers.  The majority of the females were polled.  Joining sires included Western Red Capers, Rocky View Foreman, Rondel 615, Eversleigh Bejeezes, Giunda 808, Eversleigh Button and Garthowen Oke 2.  The top price pen of PTIC red tag heifers was bought by Andrew & Kate Jaeschke of "Glen Rufus Park" South Australia for $1160/hd.  Robert and Judy Anderson, Nosredna Past Co "Eddington' Julia Creek were successful in buying the top price pen of chance-mated heifers for $810/hd.  The Andersons also purchased two pens of blue tag PTIC heifers.
