Wallace Vale

Home -> Wallace Vale

In March 2009 we purchased the complete Wallace Vale herd and prefix. Wallace Vale was founded in 1964 by Charlie Wallace, in partnership with W.H. (Bill) Edmonds, at Gordonvale. Charlie Wallace was a well-respected North Queensland cattleman who became the first classifier for the Droughtmaster breed in 1957.

Wallace Vale was one of the 18 studs honoured with Foundation Member status in 1976. During its history Wallace Vale Stud was run on "Monavale" Station just east of Hughenden and now it makes a return to the area.

Wallace Vale will be run as a separate stud to Eversleigh Droughtmasters.

The following sires both purchased at the 2009 National Droughtmaster Sale will be used in the registered herd.

The following bulls are currently running with the commercial herd
